As a stand up comedian my job is consists of walking into a room full of strangers and making them laugh. For an HOUR! Bars, comedy clubs, legion halls, theaters – you name it, I've played it. These are people with no shared background – old, young, with various political and social beliefs – yet, they're all laughing. And after, they invite me to their house, buy my CD's and ask me to pose for a picture with their dog (only once).
How do I do it? Because I'm funny? That is true. But that is only a small part of it. The real secret – stand up comedians know how to connect to an audience. Stand up comedians know how to read an audience and adjust accordingly. Want to know another secret? You can learn how to do this like a stand up comedian, for your own presentations.
I can teach you how to use the secrets that stand up comedians use to become a dynamic presenter. You will learn:
I have been a professional stand up comedian for over 12 years and have headlined comedy clubs and corporate shows across Canada and the U.S. I have appeared on national television in my own episode of Comedy Now on CTV/Comedy Network, Open Mike With Mike Bullard and Comedy at Club 54. I've also appeared at the Montreal Just For Laughs Festival, on CBC's Madly Off in All Directions, and I co-wrote and stared in a successful, critically praised Fringe Festival play, Dawn of the Dad, which will air on CBC National Radio as a Father's Day special.
In addition, I have 20 years business experience – as a manager, vocational counselor, trainer, facilitator and instructor with companies such as Great West Life, Manulife, Seneca College, and The Workers Compensation Board of Manitoba.
Plus, I will customize training specifically for your group or organization and provide you with ongoing support after the seminar to help you with your specific presentation needs.
I guarantee that in my seminar you will have fun, you will come out with the tools to be a dynamic presenter who can connect to any audience, and I will pose for a picture with your dog (if you pay for him or her to attend the seminar).
